Welcome! This is my current weekly layout that I just started using, and I will show you how it can supercharge your week! I found it on Pinterest and I really like that I can keep everything in one place without flipping to other pages. I did have to move my daily gratitude, and you can see below for my new layout. The more I use it the more I will probably be changing this up a little to make it fit my life.
My weekly planning routine starts by looking at my monthly calendar and moving events to “day boxes” on my weekly calendar. Then I look at my monthly goals and break them into small actionable steps that I can do each day. I add these to my “day boxes” as tasks. This has helped me tremendously, and hope it will help you supercharge your week. For more information on goals please see my blog about in my Goal Boxes blog.
“Day” Box on my Weekly Calendar:
A few of the features I’m loving with this new layout is looking at the weather for the week to see how it’s shaping up. This is useful especially during fall and spring when the weather fluctuates so much – you know it snows a lot in the spring and it drives me crazy! The second feature I love is tracking my water intake (on the left). I try to get a gallon of water in a day, but it’s really hard in the winter, and this helps. By the way, I do count decaf tea as water. The third feature I really like tracking on this weekly layout is calories burned, steps, and miles (on the right). This keeps me accountable by seeing the numbers for each day. Lastly, I like planning my general work out to make sure I’m lifting each body part for the week (at the bottom). I keep a separate workout bujo with more detailed information in a yellow Leuchtturm 1917 BuJo.
I really like tracking my sleep, it definitely has a direct link to my mood, ask anyone in my house! Not to mention, how can you supercharge your week without proper sleep? I use an app on my iWatch and iPhone called Pillow. It tracks my quality of sleep as well as my quantity of sleep, which is really helpful! I love the visual of the graph, and you can see Saturday night I didn’t get a lot of sleep. I had a sick boy that night, and was up with him. Have you ever wonder why kids get sick during the night, and not during the day? That’s what I was thinking that night. However, we both took a great nap late Sunday afternoon!
Purchase, Notes and Menu Box:
Notes: I have noticed I’m not using this box very much. I’m looking at making a graph box for my water and/or steps, like the sleep graph. I think it would be really helpful to see it that way. I’m already thinking how I can make changes!
Purchases: I didn’t know how much I would like or use this box, but it does make me more conscious about spend money, and what I’m spending it on. I’m thinking about possibly moving this to a daily layout, but I’m not sure yet! If I do I can create a graph box for both water and steps!
Menu: I really do like this box! I love planning meals for the week. It saves time and money at the grocery store too!
I love, love, love my habit tracker! I had it on it’s own page for the month, but I didn’t fill it out as much as I should have. It was one more thing I had to do. Now that it’s on my weekly layout I use it a lot more! When I add a new habit, I also put it as a task on my daily layout for a week or two until I get use to having it on my tracker. I do review my habits that I track every month. Again, I love the color it adds to my page too!
Weekly Bible Verse and Next Week:
Next Week Box – I really like having this here, because I know what’s going on without going to my monthly page. I can write down events here when I’m in a hurry for the following week. It’s also a reminder of what’s going on the next week.
Weekly Bible Verse – I get a daily Bible verse in my email everyday from KLOVE radio station, and I usually use one of these for my weekly verse. I really enjoy having it on my weekly, because it makes me read it everyday for a week. Some days it might mean one thing to me and other days it might speak something different. It’s also a way for me to practice handwriting, this was not my best, but it’s okay. Do you see the write out???
My Gratitude Page:
This is what I decided to do with my Daily Gratitudes, and I found this gratitude page on Pinterest (websta.me). This is something I started in October and it has motivated to fill in each day. Of course I had to add some more color, so I color every other ray with a yellow colored pencil after I write what I’m thankful for. I really do like the way it turned out and I look forward to sitting down each evening with it. The quote will probably change every so often.
I encourage you to take some of these ideas and see how they might help you plan more intentionally. I am loving this new layout for myself, and hope you find that it will supercharge your week too! Remember to use mine as a guide, because you might want to change some of the boxes for yourself, and track things that might be helpful to you. As always, thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to your comments!
