Yes, I just completed my December monthly calendar. Can you even believe it? I know, I say it most every month, but for some reason December is always different. I am so busy with holiday plans, that there is never enough time to enjoy the season. Not only has another month gone by, but this is THE LAST month of the year! So can you EVEN believe another year has gone by!
I am really excited about this layout. I loved researching the doodles/drawings for these pages. It’s always so calming to sit, draw, and have fun with all of the colors! I finally used my gel pens! What a perfect month to start using them too…so much glitz and sparkles!
December Monthly Calendar:
I started with the tree on this layout. I thought I wanted a “traditional” tree, but when I saw this one on Google Images I knew I had to do it. It had snowflakes in place of the ornaments I put on there. I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pens, and Metallic Gelly Pens for the drawing.
One of my goals for this month is practicing my handwriting. I wanted to do calligraphy for the word “December,” but I haven’t used regular pens in a while, plus it would’ve been really busy. I used my Staedtler pens for all of the writing.
December Memories Page and Gratitude Page:
I absolutely love the star for my gratitude log. As a result, I decided each month there will be something different that symbolizes the month. I didn’t use this page very much last month, but I think by switching up the theme every month it will help motivate me to fill it out everyday.
I had fun with the poinsettia on the memories page. I am looking forward to having these pages next to each other. It is linked in my head this way too! I used Tombow Pens on the lettering and Steadtler pens for the outline on the poinsettia, and Prismacolor color pencils Crimson Red.
When I was planning my December monthly calendar out; I had Christmas music going, and it was the perfect thing to put me in the Christmas Spirit! Take a little time to get organized for this busy month! Thanks for supporting my blog–I will see you next time.
